Bio

This talented and energetic restaurateur is the wife and business partner of internationally renowned Vikram Vij. Today they run a tasty little culinary empire in the city's South Granville district, anchored by two neighbouring establishments: Vij's and Vij's Rangoli. Dhalwala was born in India but moved to Washington, D.C., at a very young age with her parents. Prior to marrying Vikram and moving to Canada, she earned a degree in developmental studies and worked with various human rights and international development organizations. Lately, her local community involvement includes participation in the Vancouver Aquarium's Ocean Wise program, which assists restaurants and their customers in making environmentally friendly seafood choices.
