Why it mattersBritish Columbia is facing an enormous conservation challenge: offset half the expected increase in electricity demand by 2020 through conservation. To help us get there, Power Smart has challenged British Columbians to cut their electricity consumption at least 10%. And we hope to have 210,000 people working on that task, signed up to Team Power Smart, by the time the 2010 Winter Games begin. |
And then there are our contest winners . . . Over the summer, six British Columbians who signed up for Team Power Smart learned shortly after that they'd also won 2010 Winter Games tickets in our monthly draw.
They're pretty happy. And they're not alone. Here's a look at a couple other members who will be going to the Games after winning ticket packages.
