Web resourcesLiveSmart BC Incentives Program (B.C.)LiveSmart BC was an initial $60-million government project that ran until August 15, 2009 and which allows those who met that deadline to complete their post-retrofit assessment within 18 months after they had their first home energy assessment under the program. Note that B.C.'s 2010 budget includes $35 million in new funding for LiveSmart BC, but details of the renewed program are being finalized. ecoENERGY Retrofit Incentive (National)This Natural Resources Canada Office of Energy Efficiency program offers incentives and rebates for energy-efficient upgrades. Please note: The federal government is no longer accepting ecoENERGY Retrofit (Homes) bookings for pre-retrofit evaluations. Local resourcesBC Hydro coupons, rebates & incentives (B.C.)BC Hydro Power Smart offers seasonal coupons and offers on everything from lighting and windows to appliances. BC Hydro Fridge Buy-Back Program (B.C.)BC Hydro will pick up and pay $30 for fridges between 10 and 24 cubic feet (0.28 – 0.68m3) that are in working condition. Maximum two per customer. SmartWash Rebate Program (Victoria)The Capital Regional District Water Service in Victoria offers Victoria residents a $125 rebate on the purchase and installation of a qualifying high-efficiency clothes washer. Built Green™ Municipal Incentives (Saanich)Built Green™ offers a building permit fee rebate for homebuilders who achieve R-2000 or Built Green™ certification. If your home meets all permit and inspection requirements, rebates are issued to the building permit applicant, calculated on a percentage of the base permit fee. FortisBC’s PowerSense initiative (Southern B.C.)FortisBC is offering incentives for energy-efficient upgrades for new or existing homes to its customers. FortisBC heat pump incentive (Southern B.C.)FortisBC’s PowerSense Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Rebate offers FortisBC customers a rebate or financing on qualifying models of energy-efficient air-source heat pumps. The financial incentives consist of either a rebate or financing of up to $5,000 over 10 years at a 4.9% fixed rate. Water Services Fixture Rebate Program (Victoria)The Capital Regional District’s Water Services Fixture Rebate Program is offering a rebate for replacing inefficient water fixtures in your home.
