Recognize & Reward

Step 6

You're not done yet

An effective awareness program never stops. After the initial program, you will have to reinforce the learning. Reward those who have contributed to achieving your goals. Annual programs can help remind your employees and occupants of their energy-saving habits and accomplishments.

Celebrate your success!

Monitoring, measuring and reporting on the results of your program are important ongoing steps. They give you the ability to evaluate your program, make adjustments if necessary, provide data for contests and celebrate your successes.

Whether the success is saved energy, a successful workshop or a high level of participation, share it with your team, employees, occupants and management. You may also want to share it with your customers and the public.

Tell us!

BC Hydro would like to hear about your success stories. Tell us how your Power Smart Awareness Program is changing behaviours in your company and we'll share your success by publishing the best of the stories with their company name in our Success Stories section.
