Training & Certification
All Affected Employees, and their Support Employees, as well as employees in energy marketing or transmission transaction groups receive specific training on the Standards of Conduct (SOC) [PDF, 184 Kb]and their responsibilities. To this end, a web-based training tool, similar to that used for the Code of Conduct, has been developed (accessible internally only).
The training expands on examples of situations, as well as explains the types of non-public BCTC Transmission related information. The types of non-public BCTC Transmission related information are outlined in the BCTC Matrix [PDF, 431 Kb].

Tracking of which employees have completed the SOC training is required under the Compliance program. The following methods are in place for tracking these employees:
- Attendance sheets to record who has attended the group presentations.
- SOC Group Training Confirmation [PDF, 67 Kb]
- A record in the Training and Qualification Tracking System (TQTS) for each person who has completed the online training via TQTS.
- A signed training confirmation sheet for each person who has completed the online training without using TQTS or has completed
the training using the paper-based training materials.

In addition, a program of random testing is in place as part of the compliance monitoring and continuous training.
