When Site C was examined as a resource option more than 25 years ago and again from 1989 to 1991, significant engineering design work and environmental studies were conducted.
However, much of this information is now more than two decades old. Stage 2 work involves extensive engineering, environmental and technical work to further define the project, to update decades-old studies, and to conduct new studies and technical work.
