The Mica Gas Insulated Switchgear Project will replace the 500 kV gas insulated switchgear (GIS) at the Mica Generating Station with new GIS. Electricity from the four generators at Mica flows through the GIS to the 500 kV transmission lines which in turn carries the electricity from Mica to BC Hydro's customers.
