BC Hydro is the largest electric utility in British Columbia [PDF, 807 Kb] and a provincial Crown corporation reporting to the Minister of Energy and Mines.
The provincial government, representing the people of British Columbia, is our shareholder. The BC Energy Plan returned BC Hydro to full rate regulation under the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC), an independent agency of the provincial government.
