Recent activities2008 LTAP technical workshop on the DSM Plan
|
In the relatively short time since the 2006 IEP/LTAP was filed, there have been a number of developments that have the ability to affect the 2008 LTAP. Both the provincial government's BC Energy Plan and the BCUC Decision on the 2006 IEP/LTAP [PDF, 1.13 Mb] are influential documents, with respect to the inputs and analysis of this LTAP update. Some examples of this influence include: a more constrained resource option pool, the need to factor in increased conservation programs, new GHG offset policies and the exploration of an enhanced risk management framework.
BC Hydro hosted four Intervenor engagement activities prior to the filing of the LTAP. These activities provided a forum to discuss what these updated inputs are and how the analysis will be undertaken within a risk management framework. The intent of these activities was to provide an avenue to share technical inputs and analysis outside of the regulatory forum, with the aim of achieving a more effective and efficient regulatory process.
