Energy Technologies

In adding green energy to B.C.’s electricity mix, BC Hydro is purchasing power from independent power producers whose projects meet detailed green criteria. To date, these projects involve commercial (well-established) technologies utilizing resources such as small hydro and biomass.

We have also conducted research and are making data available to interested parties to help enable private sector development of green electricity resources in B.C.
