Electricity has always been the backbone of B.C.'s economy, powering industry with reliable electricity at competitive rates thanks to hydroelectric power. We're continuing that legacy through a power agreement with LNG Canada, which will use clean, renewable electricity from BC Hydro to power its proposed LNG export facility in Kitimat. It's our first agreement to support the growing liquefied natural gas industry in B.C.

We've been safely delivering clean power for decades, thanks to our rigorous dam safety program. That same focus on safety would be part of the proposed Site C project, explored in an editorial featured in the Vancouver Sun this week.

It's an agreement that will help power leading B.C. industry, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and provide benefits for our customers.
