BC Hydro's Fire Marshal Tara Fraser urges the public to take great care to not start wildfires. And only weeks after a vandal in Surrey took a chainsaw to some of our power poles, it has happened again in Maple Ridge, this time in the cause of copper theft from one of our transformers.

Towers and tulips were quite the spectacle at Abbotsford's Tulip Festival earlier this month. Crowds visited thousands of colourful flowers planted in neat lines at a farm where a Dutch family celebrates their heritage with the annual event. Attendees also got to see a few of the Interior to Lower Mainland transmission towers in the distance, standing tall between Merritt and Coquitlam.
