It's a new year, and in northern B.C., that means new opportunities with the Site C Clean Energy project. A series of job fairs and networking sessions are scheduled to take place later this month with the BC Chamber of Commerce. Site C will bring new energy, and new capacity – but what does capacity mean? We take a look at capacity and how it shapes plans for future energy demand. And in Campbell River, it's back to blasting for the construction crews on the John Hart project: an issue in the underground tunnel route will be solved through a detour when blasting resumes.

Site C job fairs and business networking sessions to take place in Peace region

The main civil works contract for the Site C Clean Energy project has been awarded, and that means job opportunities across the region. The BC Chamber of Commerce and BC Hydro are hosting job fairs and business networking sessions starting January 25. It's a chance for local businesses, workers, and Aboriginal communities to build relationships with the main civil works contractor, Peace River Hydro Partners.
