We've just released a report that shows that more than a third of contractors hired for Site C to date are from the Peace River region – and that 80% are from B.C. And crews fighting a West Kelowna wildfire that took out several BC Hydro power poles caught a break with the timely arrival of cool, moist weather.

A BC Hydro report shows that of the more than 1,400 contractors hired so far for work on Site C, 651 are from the Peace River region and 80% are from B.C.

A transformer might seem like an attractive spot for a cat-nap, but the summer sun proved a little too hot for this feline. Last weekend, we were notified that a cat was on top one of our poles in the Merritt area. Our crews responded to the call and were able to safely bring the cat back down to earth.
