Overnight windstorm
BC Hydro crews worked throughout the night on Sunday and early Monday morning to restore power after strong winds knocked out power to more than 13,000 customers in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby and Coquitlam. Power was restored to most customers by 8 a.m. on Monday morning.
At about 10 p.m. on Sunday night, heavy gusts of wind knocked trees and branches into power lines, causing damage to BC Hydro infrastructure.
