As
energy costs rise, investment in efficiencies is one of the best
ways to manage your costs. Consider an Energy
Management Assessment, which will give you a good idea where
to start. And if you're already on the conservation path, perhaps
it's time to nominate your business for a Conservation
Leadership Award. We also ask you this month to help us improve
the Current newsletter by taking part in a short
reader survey. As thanks for taking part, we'll enter your
name in a draw for a $100 gift certificate to Home Hardware! |

Get
a grip on managing energy
Has your company started treating energy as a variable cost?
Does it have an energy policy, and energy accountabilities?
When Canfor's self-generation costs started rising after the
forestry downturn, they realized they needed to answer these
questions. They started with an investment in an Energy
Management Assessment.

Get
your nomination in for the Workplace Conservation Leadership
Award
Thanks in part to Earl the Electric Eel, the Vancouver
Aquarium won the commercial/industrial Workplace Conservation
Leadership category at last year's Power Smart
Excellence Awards.
If you think your workplace is something special, make sure
your nomination for the award is in by 4 p.m. on April 30,
2010.
And remember, this year's Excellence Awards have moved
to the fall to coincide with the Power Smart
Forum, October 25-27 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
