Bright Ideas: Monthly update for BC Hydro's Stakeholders BC Hydro: For Generations
This month we look at how stakeholder and customer feedback influenced the Large General Service Rate Design Project. We also profile Kristian La Rose, who has faced the challenge of making aging buildings energy efficient in his work with the Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation, and we see what the City of Vancouver and BC Hydro Power Smart are doing to promote passive design in new buildings.

The Editor Editor's Note
Did you know that heating can account for more than half your home's energy bill and up to one-third of the heat from your home can escape through windows? To help reduce my personal energy consumption, I have replaced all of the windows in my home with ENERGY STAR®-labelled windows this summer. There are also financial incentives available for installing ENERGY STAR-labelled windows, such as federal and provincial government rebates and tax exemptions.
