Outreach at Willowbrook mall

Power Smart representatives are attending events around the province to encourage B.C. residents to join Team Power Smart and commit to reducing their energy consumption by 10%.
 
Representatives will be at a variety of special events and holiday season shows to help educate residential customers about energy conservation and Power Smart programs.

A busy Power Smart MonthPower Smart booth at Costco

Throughout October, Power Smart representatives kicked our community involvement into high gear for Power Smart Month.

Events at retailers, museums, home shows, businesses, universities and daycares led to representatives visiting 60 communities, attending over 500 events and interacting with more than 45,000 customers.
 

Jobs with the Outreach team

BC Hydro Outreach representatives support current BC Hydro campaigns by delivering key messages to customers via community events, retail events, story times, business walkthroughs, media interaction and our community cruiser.

BC Hydro Outreach typically hires representatives three times a year for campaigns that run in conjunction with post secondary terms: summer ( May – August), fall (September – December) and spring (January – April). Job bulletins are usually posted two months prior to the start of a new term in Current Opportunities. Since 1998, BC Hydro Outreach has hired over 1,000 students and recent graduates.

Holiday events

With the holiday season approaching, decorative lighting is going up all around the province.

Power Smart representatives will be in communities across B.C. promoting the benefits of LED holiday lights.
