BC Hydro files final argument for Integrated Electricity Plan
VANCOUVER – BC Hydro filed its final reply argument [PDF, 3.7 Mb] this week with the BC Utilities Commission in support of the Integrated Electricity Plan (IEP).
"The IEP is our long-term 20-year plan for meeting our customers' needs, and is aligned with the Province's goal of electricity self-sufficiency," said Bob Elton, President and Chief Executive Officer of BC Hydro. "We will be working to ensure that BC Hydro's actions resulting from the IEP respect the goals and policy direction set out in last week's Energy Plan."
The IEP is accompanied by a 10-year Long-Term Acquisition Plan (LTAP) that outlines BC Hydro's plans for acquiring sufficient resources to serve B.C.'s growing demand for electricity. BC Hydro has committed to filing a LTAP every two years.
