Join Team Power Smart, get exclusive offers, prizes
BC Hydro's Team Power Smart has been set up to help British Columbians start thinking about conservation, and to help them save energy and save money. And as a reward for committing to electricity conservation, members get some perks as well.
Right now, new and existing Team Power Smart members can qualify for a chance at 2010 Winter Games ticket packages. Exclusive offers include a limited time subscription discount to British Columbia Magazine, and in recent months, members have been offered additional savings on mail-in rebates for products ranging from power bars to seasonal LED strings and programmable thermostats.
Home comparison tool to debut
This week, Team Power Smart debuts a new Compare Your Home tool. The tool will allow those who have had a BC Hydro account for at least a year to answer a few questions and – based on their actual consumption – find out how their electricity use compares to those in similar-sized homes and family sizes across B.C.
Track your consumption
Team Power Smart members who have BC Hydro accounts track their monthly consumption online and are updated regularly with how they’re progressing toward their 10% goal and beyond. They’re learning how easy it is to save 10% or more, in part through the Green Your Home Guides and Tips information on bchydro.com.
