You can now join Team Power Smart via text message
New to Team Power Smart is the ability to join the team via text message (SMS) on your mobile device. Just text "JOIN" to "POWER" (76937), and you're on your way.
Once you've sent that message, you'll receive a confirmation text message that asks you to submit your email address. BC Hydro Power Smart will check to ensure you're not already a member, then will send a confirmation email that includes information about the team, members-only offers and tips on how to cut your electricity consumption.
By signing up, you can expect periodic messages such as exclusive mobile offers and promotions, contest info and conservation tips. Standard message/data rates apply.
How to send a text message to join Team Power Smart
Note: The following steps may differ slightly on various devices. For more information, please refer to the user manual of your mobile device.
- Access the main menu on your mobile phone/device.
- In the main menu, select “Messages”.
- In the sub menu, select “Create a New Message”.
- Enter the keyword “JOIN” in the message area and the destination number “POWER” (76937 – the numeric equivalent to POWER).
- Select “Send”.
