Mission man gets great new windows, plus a $5,000 prize
Forced to take an early retirement from a tough job, Mission's Clive Mason had some time to think about upgrading his windows. His choice wasn't just a good one – it paid off with a $5,000 prize.
Mason, who has lived in his Mission home for 20 years, opted to buy ENERGY STAR®-certified windows from Centra, which also installed them for him. While Centra did the tough work – back problems stemming from 30 years working with rebar had led to his retirement – he took the time to enter BC Hydro's Win Your Windows Purchase Contest.
With his windows in, Mason got the news that he had won the $5,000 prize in the contest. He's happy with the windows, and very pleased that a big chunk of the costs for installing them have been covered by the prize money.
"Not only do [ENERGY STAR®-certified windows] save energy, but they'll help me save on heating costs in the years to come," said Mason, whose career included work on major projects such as the Tilbury Island cement plant and the Port Mann Bridge renovations.
"We are thrilled that a Centra Windows Customer won Hydro's contest," said Centra marketing manager Crissy Ram.
Watch for money-saving windows promotions, including Centra's Add Up and Save Event, on BC Hydro's windows promotions page. There are currently eight different windows offers available to BC Hydro customers.
