Power Smart Trade Show a Hit
New energy efficient solutions for business applications were top of people’s mind at the popular 2008 Power Smart Forum Trade Show. Held November 19th, 2008 in conjunction with the annual Power Smart Forum at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Vancouver, the fourth annual event featured 42 commercial and industrial exhibitors, who showcased the latest in energy conservation products to a record crowd of 300 attendees.
Judging by feedback and attendance numbers, the tradeshow was a great success. Alliance members were extremely pleased with the level of traffic as well as the quality and quantity of current and potential customers making the booth rounds. Customers were keen to chat about energy conservation solutions for their respective businesses, and also took advantage of the opportunity to catch up with industry colleagues and enjoy refreshments. The event was capped with a contest draw for a new Whirlpool washer and dryer, courtesy of Trail Appliances.
Now in its sixth year, the Power Smart Forum brings together BC Hydro business customers, industry experts and staff to share information about energy conservation in the workplace and beyond. The 2008 event, held November 19 to 21, broke its own attendance records this year, welcoming more than 700 participants from across BC – 575 on the first day alone. The tradeshow is open to everyone attending the forum.
Planning is already underway for 2009, with organizers looking to build on the growing momentum in energy conservation across the province.
