Power up for 2008 Power Smart Month Challenge

The Power Smart Month Challenge is back! From October 1 to 31, 2008, Alliance distributors are invited to show their best competitive spirit for the second annual Alliance Power Smart Month Challenge.

We introduced the Challenge last year as a way to help boost energy efficiency in distributor customer settings and at the same time, allow us to reward distributors for their efforts. Based on the great results, this year we have upped the ante and the prizes.

Once again, we’ve developed a number of conservation awareness initiatives for distributors and their employees to implement, each of which is worth a specific number of credits. Distributors received a Power Smart Challenge tool kit, which includes everything they need to share the conservation message. Firms that earn a minimum 500 credits will be promoted in full-page Power Smart ads in major business publications.

In addition, this year we’re offering great prizes:

  • A draw for an entire year of monthly employee lunches – that’s 12 great lunches! Every 100 credits earned by a participating branch earns an entry into the draw
  • A $1000 lunchroom makeover to the winning branch within each firm (with two or more branches) that showcases the best Power Smart display as judged by the Power Smart team. We’re looking for imagination, effectiveness and creativity in how distributors and their staff relay the Power Smart message. It’s a great opportunity to have some fun!

The more Power Smart Challenge activities are done, the more credits earned and the better the chance of winning.
