February 2007 Survey Results

The results are in! Thanks to everyone who participated in our recent Alliance survey. We were able to glean interesting and helpful information that will assist us in future planning and ensure we can continue to support our Alliance members.

On the whole, our report card was very positive. We were pleased to learn that members’ overall satisfaction with Power Smart is higher than in previous years, and that more than 70% of you expect your involvement with Power Smart to increase in the future. In addition, 82% of you feel your company has benefited from its relationship with Power Smart. Benefits include increased knowledge about energy efficiency, expansion into new markets, higher sales and improved credibility with customers.

We also have some challenges. Common themes that appeared in members’ responses were cumbersome administrative procedures, difficulty finding information on the website and Power Smart projects competing for attention in B.C.’s hot economy.

Your comments have been well noted and we are exploring ways to simplify our procedures – since the survey was conducted, the PIP pre-approval has already been removed. In addition, an Alliance Extranet usability test is planned for the coming months to take a closer look at how best to improve our website.
