After months of planning and consultation with industry, the new Alliance is now in full swing. Although most of you already will have received a hard copy of the Alliance Guide by mail, you can also read all about the re-vamped Alliance – its structure, new membership registration and requirements, learning opportunities, expanded list of benefits – right here, on the Alliance website. We’ve re-worked the site to make it easy for you to find the information you need about Alliance membership, various Power Smart Alliance initiatives, courses and conferences and other Alliance resources.
The website’s new Alliance Membership and Registration section contains a lot of the information that you’ll find in the printed Alliance Guide. For example, one of the most significant changes is that Alliance members are now required to not only register their firm, but also all of their employees who will be working on Power Smart energy efficiency projects. Learn about how your firm can apply for membership in the application process part of this section, where you’ll find application details and information about the registration eligibility requirements for your industry group. You can also download the application form you’ll need to complete.
Another change is that there are now three levels of Alliance membership: bronze, silver and gold. Depending on your preferred level of engagement, your firm can meet the minimum criteria needed to remain a member in good standing or, once these requirements are met, you can strive to earn the necessary prerequisites for the next levels. You can find out more about the requirements and benefits of each membership level within your industry group. You’ll also discover information about earning credits, and what activities are eligible.
Speaking of benefits, members can enjoy more benefits than ever before, from participation in advertising opportunities and customer referrals, to enhanced learning and networking possibilities. Read about the wide range of membership benefits available and why it pays to be an Alliance member.
Last, don’t forget to add bchydro.com/ex/alliance to your list of favourites. With all this information readily available at your fingertips at any time, we hope you’ll be able to take full advantage of all that Alliance membership has to offer.
