Learning more about the latest energy efficiency products and technologies once again proved to be a powerful draw to the 2010 Power Smart Forum Tradeshow. Held on October 27, 2010 at the Vancouver Convention Centre in conjunction with the 2010 Power Smart Forum, the sixth annual event welcomed an enthusiastic crowd of conference delegates, with many visiting the more than 50 commercial and industrial exhibitors showcasing the latest energy efficient wares. The tradeshow was open to everyone attending the forum.
Judging by the positive feedback and high attendance, the tradeshow was a great success. Alliance members and customers alike enjoyed the tradeshow’s extended hours, the quality of the exhibits, and the chance to catch up with colleagues and compare notes on conservation solutions.
Now regarded as one of the province’s strongest resources for information about business energy solutions, the Power Smart Forum this year attracted more than 1,300 delegates from BC’s industrial, commercial and government sectors. The event, which took place October 25 to 27, 2010, had as its primary theme “Building the Green Economy.” Among the offerings were sessions with industry experts on how to best engage customers to help meet the provincial government’s ambitious conservation goals. Alliance members had the opportunity to attend a workshop specifically designed for them entitled, “How to Sell Conservation in the Green Economy.” Delivered by Robert Malec of Business Works Consulting, the session discussed developing an effective conservation sales strategy as well as identifying new prospects in the marketplace.
Planning for the 2011 event is already underway, with more workshops focused on customer engagement in the works.
