Background and Development

The Clean Power Call Request For Proposals ("RFP") was a structured request for proposals designed to help ensure the province has sufficient clean electricity to meet its future needs. The Clean Power Call RFP aligned with the 2007 B.C. Energy Plan, which indicated that at least 90% of all electricity generated in the province must come from clean or renewable sources. BC Hydro awarded 25 Electricity Purchase Agreements upon the completion of the call in August 2011. Learn more.
