For construction management purposes, the 247 kilometre transmission line route has been divided into five sections starting at the Nicola Substation near Merritt.

Interior to Lower Mainland Project Map

The ILM Project includes building a new 250 kilometre long 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line mostly along an existing right-of-way between the Nicola Substation near Merritt and the Meridian Substation in Coquitlam.
