Construction is well underway
Construction on the Interior to Lower Mainland Transmission (ILM) Project is underway. The new transmission line is planned to be in service in 2015.

This schedule is subject to change.
The ILM Project includes building a new 247-kilometre long 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line mostly along an existing right-of-way between the Nicola Substation near Merritt and the Meridian Substation in Coquitlam.
For construction management purposes, the 247-kilometre transmission line route has been divided into five sections starting at the Nicola Substation near Merritt.
