Invent the Future 2009. GO!Got an idea that can help minimize energy consumption? Share it and you could win one of four grand prizes of $2,500. The 2009 edition of Invent the Future is now on, and you've got until Nov. 8 to turn your creative energies to the subject of conservation. Early submissions, those filed before Oct. 26, qualify for a $200 cash prize. You can also help yourself to win the People's Choice Prize. Four Flip Mino HD camcorders are up for grabs. Invent the Future is a chance for B.C. residents between the ages of 13 and 24 to get clever with essays or short videos. Last year we had nearly 150 entries. (Learn more about the 2008 winners.) Maybe you’ve got an idea for a lifestyle change or sustainable product. We’re looking for clever, unique and inspiring ways to conserve. Get inspired by watching and reading some of the excellent submissions created for the 2008 contest.
