We're connecting people and communities. Help us power our province's sustainable energy future by becoming a member of our Community Outreach team.

We usually add new team members three times each year: summer (May to August), fall (September to December), and spring (January to April). Look for job bulletins up to two months prior to the start of each campaign.

Since 1998, more than 1,000 students and recent graduates have helped us build a bright future for B.C.

But don't take our word for it. Here's what two current team members have to say about the roles they are playing:

Outreach representative Sonja Perez works with young boy"The BC Hydro community outreach representative position is diverse, rewarding, inspiring, and fun. You develop life-long relationships with the people on your team and are able to truly appreciate working together with several talented individuals. I find myself coming back term after term to continue to spread the Power Smart message and to encourage British Columbians to become world leaders in energy efficiency. It is a position I’d recommend to anyone who is willing to grow and challenge themselves!"

– Sonia Perez, team leader

Outreach representative Timothy Lau"Being a part of the BC Hydro Outreach team has taught me the values and skills needed to strive successfully in any workplace. As a student fresh out of university, being an Outreach representative has enabled me to enhance my leadership and organizational skills. From developing competency with office work to successfully leading a team at an event, BC Hydro Outreach has provided me with 360 degrees of guidance in how to succeed in and outside the workplace! "
