Vancouver's Jang follows 2010 Winter Games, from the bid to the action

Karen Jang of Vancouver was there when Vancouver won the bid to host the 2010 Winter Games and now, thanks to signing up for Team Power Smart, she’s going to have a chance to see some of the action.

When Karen signed up at a community event, she was entered to win. A few weeks later, she was drawn as the winner of two tickets to a 2010 Winter Games event. Karen joined the team to learn about all the different ways to reduce her energy consumption; she’s also interested in the offers and rewards available to Team Power Smart members.

“Being a member of Team Power Smart gives me access to lots of information about energy use, ways to reduce consumption, and links to other similar sites” says Karen. “There are a number of things that I am trying to incorporate into my everyday routine such as using CFL bulbs…”

BC Hydro’s Community Outreach representatives are travelling all over the province encouraging British Columbians to sign up for Team Power Smart and offering information about energy efficiency.
