Previous Campaigns

Beginning in 2012, BC Hydro's employee-giving program will be administered by United Way. However, we would like to thank the many participants in the HYDRECS Fund over the past twenty-two years. HYDRECS continues to have an impact in communities throughout B.C. through the legacy of the Special Projects, such as the ones listed below.

Every year, HYDRECS (BC Hydro Employees' Community Services) provided project funding to a number of charities, and each year five Special Projects were identified for support. These were more intensive plans that were promoted during an annual two-month BC Hydro employee/retiree fundraising campaign.

Here's how we dispersed Special Project funding:

  • Provincial project funding up to $100,000
  • Regional project funding:
    • Up to $30,000 for the Lower Mainland
    • Up to $10,000 for Vancouver Island
    • Up to $10,000 for Northern
    • Up to $10,000 for the South Interior

We've been proud to support the following charities through HYDRECS Special Project funding.
