Application for funding

The FWCP works to conserve and enhance fish and wildlife impacted by construction of BC Hydro dams. In order to achieve its mandate the FWCP works with a range of partners and community groups who provide a variety of financial, technical and hands-on support.

If you have a project that you feel merits funding, consider applying for project funding in your region:

Coastal Region

Grant and Seed Project Fund Applications

In the Coastal region applications are reviewed annually by both regional/topic specific Technical Committees and a Management Board. These review groups include representation from all program partners, First Nations and the public. Projects are chosen based on technical merit, cost vs. benefit, level of partnership, linkages to watershed-specific priorities and overall benefit to the FWCP's mandate and vision.

New Watershed and Action Plans

All applications will now be measured against new FWCP Watershed and Action Plans. Project proposals that do not directly address a priority project will not be approved.

Step 1. Application information [PDF, 248 Kb].

Step 2. Letter of Intent
Potential applicants are encouraged to submit a Letter of Intent by October 1st to FWCP staff to help guide you in writing your application. The Letter of Intent should:

  • Be two pages long (maximum),
  • Identify project location,
  • Identify applicable footprint impacts,
  • Identify project deliverables,
