LA5(1) Accident and Disease Trends and Analysis
Accident analysis and monitoring is described in "SMS11-Incident Management System" of the Safety Management System. Under this direction, BC Hydro monitors, analyses and trends occupational safety and health incidents or exposures as well as conducts injury and disease management. The processes comply with all Workers' Compensation Board (legislative) requirements and align with international standards and best practice. BC Hydro uses electronic reporting systems (e.g. SHMIS and Incident management system) to ensure safety information is collected for planning and trending purposes. These systems also help ensure the organization meets all required safety legislation and regulatory requirements for incidents and accidents.
