LA13(1) Provision for Employee Representation in Decision-Making or Management, Including Corporate Governance Make Text Larger Make Text Smaller Print This Page

While there is no formal provision in the current governance structure at BC Hydro for employee input into decision-making, in the last year several informal forums have been established to advise Senior Management and the Executive Management Committee. Examples include:

  • The Employee Relations Forum continues to seek constructive, collective input from a cross-section of Management & Professional staff with regards to future changes at BC Hydro and meeting our Long Term Goals. The group was consulted and their input was incorporated this year into the Performance Management Program in advance of the program being rolled out.
  • To help address safety and security of information concerns, the President and CEO has invited representatives of the two unions (COPE and IBEW) to participate with him on corporate-wide conference calls pertaining to safety.
