BC Hydro is subject to the provisions of the Canada Labour Code dealing with Basic Freedoms described in Division 1 (R.S., 1985, c. L-2, s. 8; 1999, c. 31, s. 162(E)). Collective Bargaining policies, procedures and programs exist for both unions at BC Hydro: the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and Canadian Office & Professional Employees Union (COPE).
