HR12(5) Status of First Nations Involvement in Capital Projects
BC Hydro continues to engage First Nations in high risk capital projects related to generation, transmission, and distribution of hydro-electric power. The phases of engagement are: relationship-building, consultation, negotiations and implementation of agreements. This year, First Nations issues did not result in any delays to project timelines. BC Hydro was also able to meet all legal and financial obligations set out in concluded agreements.
