Notes:
- Carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions are reported in metric kilotonnes. Methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions are reported in metric tonnes.
- GHG emissions are rounded to the nearest integer. Emissions reported as zero reflect this rounding. Totals may not add up due to rounding.
- GHG emissions from electricity imports are not included.
- In anticipation of meeting government carbon neutral requirements, BC Hydro is accounting for indirect life-cycle emissions associated with the consumption of 8.5” by 11” paper. In calendar year 2008, these emissions were estimated to be 0.2 kilotonnes CO2e.
- Where historical GHG intensities do not match previously reported values, intensities have been recalculated due to changes in inventory scope, improvements in data collection and/or updates to emission factors. This year, recalculations reflect improved data collection from Independent Power Producers.
