Resource Smart Energy Gains Delivered are the projected, long-term average incremental energy gains for existing generation facilities that are put into service during the year.

Targets are based on the identification, study and implementation of projects that provide economic energy gains at existing BC Hydro facilities, and typically have little incremental environmental impact. These targets support the BC Energy Plan objectives of zero net greenhouse gas emissions for all new electricity generation projects and to ensure renewable and clean electricity generation continues to account for at least 90 per cent of total generation. While no new projects are targeted for next year, 70 GWh of new energy is planned in fiscal 2009.
