Green Gigwatt Hours (GWh) is the cumulative gigawatt hours contracted from green sources that meet purchase price limits. This includes projects from the 2000 Expression of Interest, 2001 Green Call, one project from the 2002 Customer-Based Generation (CBG) Call and the 2003 Green Power Generation Call.
The results are above target as the Green GWh definition was established over four years ago, and was not updated when BC Hydro acquired additional green energy over planned acquisition targets in the two Green Calls. In addition, CBG projects were reported under a separate measure. This is the first year that all green projects are reported under one measure and the CBG measure is abandoned.
