Definition

Environmental Regulatory Compliance (ERC) is the number of externally reportable, preventable environmental incidents.

Variance Explanation

Results for the Environmental Regulatory Compliance measure are better than the target for F2006. Results can be attributed in part to the efforts invested in the Environmental Management System including staff training and root cause investigation of incidents. The overall trend of this measure over the last four years indicates the number of ERC incidents has declined, however the difference is within the historical variability of this measure.
