This indicator provides a measure of the extent to which BC Hydro and other utilities reduce consumption and purchases of new insulating oil by reusing existing inventories of insulating oil that may have otherwise been disposed of as waste or recycled rather than reused. Reuse rates improved because of increased demand for reconditioned oil, allowing our treatment facility to treat more insulating oil than last year.
