| Calendar (C) or Fiscal (F) Year | C2003 | C2004 | C2005 | F2007 | F2008 |

| Other Canadian Utilites | 67.2 | 63.3 | no data | no data | no data |
This indicator provides a measure of the extent to which BCÂ Hydro and other utilities reduce consumption and purchases of new insulating oil by reusing existing inventories of insulating oil that may have otherwise been disposed of as waste, burned as fuel, or recycled rather than reused. The 2005 volumes includes British Columbia Transmission Corporation (BCTC) numbers; 2004 and 2003 data does not include BCTC volumes. The fiscal 2007 reuse rate is not comparable to the previous year due to the reporting period being changed from calendar year to fiscal year. Benchmarking data from other Canadian utilities is no longer being collected by the Canadian Electricity Association. The fiscal 2008 insulating oil reused percentage increase was largely due to the fact that much less oil was sent from the Oil Management Department as waste in fiscal 2008 in comparison to fiscal 2007 (98,310 litres in fiscal 2008 compared to 476,890 litres in fiscal 2008).
