Corporate and Regional Donations are monetary grants or in-kind contributions provided to registered charities or not-for-profit organizations to support cultural, social and economic well-being in British Columbia. In F2006, BC Hydro supported a variety of community initiatives and programs throughout the province and focused its community giving in five main funding areas: arts and culture, aboriginal initiatives, community investment, education, and environment, as well as scholarships. The donation requests BC Hydro approved were aligned to its purpose and long-term goals and enhanced its long-term community relationships.
